This year, the Georgetown Fall Fair is celebrating their 172nd year! The fall fair’s theme this year is a Touch of Country and is running from Friday, September 7th until Sunday, September 9th.
At this fall fair, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy, including musical entertainment from David Boyd Janes Band, Marshall Dane, Pub Jugs, and Vivian Hicks, to a pet show and contest to a Demolition Derby, it is sure to be a great event!
2. Enjoy Events at the Acton Fall Fair
Have a popping good time at this year’s Acton Fall Fair for their 105th year. Events include heavy horse pull, Miss Acton Fall Fair Pageant, beef cattle show, baby show, popcorn tasting, popcorn bingo, and a lawn and garden tractor pull.
This year at the Acton Fall Fair, you can even meet the pups from Paw Patrol, Marshall and Skye, and a Minion! A great event for kids.
3. Visit Local Farmers’ Market
Farmers’ markets are a great family outing to enjoy during the fall. It is the perfect way to get outside and meet others within your local community.
The Georgetown Farmer’s Market is a great one to enjoy in Halton Hills this fall. Running from now until October 15th, there are many types of local produce to sample. 4. Go for an Autumn Hike

5. Go Apple Picking at Chudleigh’s
This farm first started operating in 1967. The people at Chudleigh’s wanted families who lived in the city to be able to taste the country life and enjoy some delicious apples along the way. They currently have expanded their farm to a local 110,000 square foot bakery, just down the road from the family farm, where they are making desserts for customers with the food grown on their property.
At this orchard, there is more to enjoy than just apple picking. There are various activities for the kids to enjoy, making it a full-day family outing. From sand pits, to a hay maze, to farm animals, to wagon rides, there is something for everyone.
