The Latest In Kitchen Trends: Copper & Marble
If you have yet to see this trend, we’re sure you will. It is a beautiful and simple way to add a warm glow in your kitchen.
This modern trend is created by combining two classic trends. We’ve gotten rid of the plain and harsh metals and made room for soft, reflective materials to furnish interiors.
The textures and colours of this trend are best used in kitchens and bathrooms, covering large areas as statement pieces, but smaller accent pieces can be used to bring life to coffee tables, desks and bedrooms. For an added touch, use accents of exposed wood or even navy blue.
Whereas chrome could seem cold and clinical and gold signalled bling, copper provided a warming, sophisticated glow that could be easily incorporated into interior designs to add an element of understated, cool luxury. The copper trend shows no sign of slowing down – its affordability has led to a huge resurgence on the high street and when looking into interior design, we’re seeing a real demand for copper products and more understated, warming metals such as brass and rose gold across accessories, furniture and, most notably, lighting where the materials warming glow really comes into its own.
Use copper in the bathroom sparingly, as in accessories like handles, towel rails or exposed plumbing or go full on with taps and bath tubs. This trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and we’re not mad about it at all!
